With 5000 faithful watching in a tense and intimidating atmosphere, El Gouna FC managed to squeeze out a 0-0 draw against a very physical La Farana site in Fayoum. To add to misery Samuel Ocran missed form the penalty stop one minute before the final whistle. |

Hesham Zinhom put El Gouna FC on the scoreboard with a 5th minute piledriver. Mahmoud Abdel Razzaq's immaculate freekick put the homes side further ahead halfway through the first half. Mohamed El Hady converted from the penalty spot to make it 3-0 into 65 minutes of play. Samuel Ocran made El Gouna FC cruising to a 4-0 victory over lowly Nasr El Fikriya.

| Hesham Zinhom opened the score in the 40th minute in a winsdswept encounter at Grand Club in Hurghada. Struggling El Gouna FC managed to double the score five minutes before the final whistle by a fierceful header of Samuel Ocran and Mohamed El Hady sealing a 3-0 victory. |

New head coach Ramadan El Sayeed fielded seven new players to take on Momtaz club Enppi from Cairo for his first representative match wich ended in a 1-0 hone win at the Bustan Ground with Ahmd Fekry scoring from the penalty spot. Half left Mahmoud Taha and midfielder/playmaker Tarek Moestafa joined El Gouna FC for a trial period from Etisalat who were recently promoted to the Momtaz. Former international Tarek Moustafa was instrumental in the 2-0 defeat of South Africa in the final of the 1998 African Nations Cup in Burkino Fasso and has played for Petrojet, Ismaily, Ankara (Turkey), Neuchâtel Xamax (Switzerland), Zamalek, Goldi and Eastern Tobacco. |

Ramadan El Sayed, previously with Petrol Assyut, has been appointed head coach with El Gouna FC. Ramadan El Sayed was a midfielder who played in the late seventies in "Factory 36" and got transferred to Ahly in early eighties. |

| El Gouna's coach Mohamed Abdel El Sameh and his assistant Gamal El Sayeed both parted company with the club in the wake of the outcome of this season's play-off climax. Both explained their decision in what was stated as 'in the best interest of the club'. Mohamed and Gamal were both instrumental in the rise from El Gouna FC from an unsignificant fourth division outfit to one of the elite sides from the second division. |
